Today is Pentecost Sunday. (Pentecost means
fifty and the feast of Pentecost comes fifty days after Easter,) Pentecost
brings us to the end of the Easter Season.
Jesus calls the Holy Spirit to come to his friends, so they can believe
what Jesus had told them and help others to believe. Suddenly, and for
the first time, death is not the end of life.
Today in our liturgy, we have planted a seed; it looks dried up and dead,
but if we look after it, it will grow.
Inside
the dead-looking seed, there is new life waiting to come out.
